Doorify MLS: virtual staging rules

What Doorify MLS requires before a virtually staged photo goes into a listing — the disclosure rule, the edits it permits, the edits it prohibits, and what happens when a listing gets it wrong.

Doorify MLS FAQ

Does Doorify MLS require virtual staging to be disclosed?
Not currently. Doorify’s media guidelines say “We do not currently require disclosure of Digitally Enhanced or Virtually Staged photos.” Disclosing anyway is still good practice, and North Carolina law and the NAR Code of Ethics bar misleading images.
What edits does Doorify prohibit?
Edits that misrepresent the true state of the property. Doorify’s examples: changing wall colors, removing fixtures like fire hydrants, changing flooring, or enhancing landscaping beyond its current condition. Rule 1.2d also requires photos to be an actual representation of the property.
Can listing photos show people, contact info or a QR code?
No. Media may not include contact information, marketing or promotional messages, visible people, or advertisements. Contact information belongs only in Private Remarks.
What is the fine?
Appendix A lists “photographs, renderings, or drawings … that are not an actual representation of the property” as a Category I correctable violation. Confirm the current amount with Doorify.
